singinalot Posted October 23, 2019 Author #277 Share Posted October 23, 2019 We continued on along the coast to the town of Amalfi; giving Chiro much praise for his driving skills. We came to the only stop light on the Amalfi coast and had about a 20 minute wait. can you imagine being in that car when that bus is turning?!Once again we were dropped off with an hour to roam. We barely scratched the surface of this beautiful seaside town. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
singinalot Posted October 23, 2019 Author #278 Share Posted October 23, 2019 I go pro’d almost the whole drive and have yet to go through that footage so I’ll try to tonight and get it into the blog for this day. Amalfi town:Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

singinalot Posted October 23, 2019 Author #282 Share Posted October 23, 2019 I had to google the name of the bakery. I’m pretty certain it is Panificio Apicella and we paid 4 something euro for our snacks and drinks including my Coke Zero.We LOVED Amalfi and would 100% go back to spend more time there. We bought some pasta and some local wine to bring home for a dinner night with friends. Can’t wait to open those!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
singinalot Posted October 23, 2019 Author #283 Share Posted October 23, 2019 If you can’t tell yet my notes from this part of the day are very limited...we were too busy saying wow wow wow the whole timeWe had about 5 minutes until we had to meet Anna so walked out to take some photos. Many more “wow”s commenced.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

singinalot Posted October 23, 2019 Author #285 Share Posted October 23, 2019 next stop Positanoit’s hard to see here but there’s a stair case on the right. Anna said people come here to do this trail and it’s breathtaking (adding that to my bucket list)There were nativity scenes all along the coast. It made me cry.https://www.italianalluretravel.com/beautiful-amalfi-coast-roadside-nativity-always-there-to-enjoy/Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
singinalot Posted October 23, 2019 Author #286 Share Posted October 23, 2019 Instead of dropping us off at the top of Positano Chiro drove down so that we would be closer to the bottom...it was hot and he knew we’d die! We had an hour and 15 minutes before we had to meet back up.I had one specific goal in mind and set us in that direction.Along the way:Across from this store is a WC:Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I sat in this same spot. There's only 3-4 places I have cruised to in this world so far that I would rather go back and spend a week on land vs. cruising. The Amalfi Coast is one of them.

singinalot Posted October 24, 2019 Author #297 Share Posted October 24, 2019 Nate bought himself a pair of house shoes in this store: I was SO hot! Bought these at the stand in the parking lot where we met Anna and Chiro. It was expensive. I think 7 or 8 euro. Tip: don’t got to the stand at the parking garage!Back in the car...we are just in awe at todayWe stopped at an overlook of Positano next and I took video there and apparently no photos. Spoiler Alert: Nate and I both said it was worth so much more at the end of the day. I think that was a great deal. We spent $180 (through Royal) each for a bus to Amalfi, boat to Serano, bus to Pompeii. It included lunch and Pompeii tour. Problem was we only got 30 minutes in Amalfi, and ran through Pompeii. Since this was your second time, did you feel like you had a more relaxed time? We enjoyed the trip, but came home exhausted. Honestly we packed so much into each day, it was hard to fully enjoy what we were seeing sometimes.

I’m not sure why honestly. LOL. maybe because we were even MORE excited knowing what we were in store for. I also think having the interior didn’t help. We always felt like we needed to sleep longer.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
