silkismom Posted October 24, 2019 #303 Share Posted October 24, 2019 I LOVED Positano, years ago I bought a painting of it, it's in my dining room and I have tablecloths in almost every color in it. So I had to take a cruise with a tour there, I finally found the location on the hill where the painting was done. It was spring and so pretty.

singinalot Posted October 24, 2019 Author #305 Share Posted October 24, 2019 But wait...our experience is nowhere near done. It was about 1:15pm and time for lunch! I had read in reviews that Carmine usually took people to a farm to table restaurant with ocean views so I asked Anna if we could go there. She said that’s where she was planning to take us. So up up up the mountain we went. We came to this and Anna said she would get us a table and to follow her. “But where’s the restaurant?” I thought. singinalot Posted October 24, 2019 Author #310 Share Posted October 24, 2019 ok so we walk down the stairs into La Tagliata. It is tiered restaurant built into the side of the rock. The gardens go down 7 tiers! We were shown to a table and asked what we’d like to drink. White wine!I looked around for a menu but almost immediately after we sat the waiter brought out our first dish. No menus here! They do a full course meal straight from the gardens for everyone. The tomatoes were the best I’ve ever hadThey make their own wine, without preservatives, and it is the smoothest white I’ve ever had....we may have drank 2 bottles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
singinalot Posted October 24, 2019 Author #311 Share Posted October 24, 2019 in the pictures above you can see the prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella beneath....the kind that when you slice into it it just oozes with soft cheesy goodness the zucchini pizza below...I’ve never had anything like it...I ate it all to myself! none for fiancé There was a family at the table next to us that we struck up a conversation with and are now friends with on Instagram. The two men bonded over their love of cars. the potato gnocchi and ravioli....unbelievable but wait....there’s more to this experience Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

singinalot Posted October 24, 2019 Author #313 Share Posted October 24, 2019 While we were eating and just really enjoying the atmosphere Anna came up to our table (she was in another room with a meal of her own) and said she had someone for us to meet.I turned around and Carmine was there! I told him who I was. I follow him on Insta so as soon as I said singinalot he knew immediately. He sat down with us and we all talked for at least an hour. I mentioned cruise critic and how I always do reviews here and couldn’t wait to tell about our day. His face just lit up. You can seriously see how much passion he has for his business and people. Come to find out...La Tagliata is his aunts restaurant! The first time she ever left Italy was to cook for a ruler (upon special request!) in Germany many many years ago. How amazing! His cousin now runs it and so we chatted with him too. Carmine is directly above me and his cousin next to him.our first and last shots ever of limoncello We ended up bringing 2 bottles of wine home with us tooBUT WAIT there’s moreSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I sat in this same spot. There's only 3-4 places I have cruised to in this world so far that I would rather go back and spend a week on land vs. cruising. The Amalfi Coast is one of them. Make it 3. My wife and I had the same conversation about just staying there for a week. 19 hours ago, singinalot said: we were actually more tired this trip than last! I’m not sure why honestly. LOL. maybe because we were even MORE excited knowing what we were in store for. I also think having the interior didn’t help. We always felt like we needed to sleep longer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well, I was hoping for different answer. We had an interior once, on the Freedom, it was disorienting to us Kind of like a Casino in Vegas.

singinalot Posted October 25, 2019 Author #320 Share Posted October 25, 2019 Pretty much anytime we go to a foreign country people are always jokingly asking fiancé to arm wrestle. In Mexico everyone calls out “rambo” to him. Well, Carmine’s cousin asked...Nate has never actually arm wrestled anyone until this day. It was hysterical. The whole restaurant was watchingVideo will be on the vlogSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
singinalot Posted October 25, 2019 Author #321 Share Posted October 25, 2019 After the arm wrestle Carmine took us on a tour of the gardens. They are SO beautiful and I’m quite jealous. Growing in Colorado Springs is a challenge due to our soil and the dry climate. Zucchini grows well here but not much else. I got one single pumpkin from my vine this year and 2 tomatoes before they got blight . [emoji24]I’m going to have to ask Carmine what kind of tomatoes we had. If I could order seeds online that would be amazing.stunningthe beauty was endlessSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

mtmomof3 Posted October 25, 2019 #325 Share Posted October 25, 2019 Just love your photos and Vlogs! What an incredible trip - it would be so hard to choose a favorite port. I'm even more excited for our cruise this summer! And thank you so much for taking time to keep posting this week and not leaving us hanging -- I can't imagine how much you have to do with your wedding so close. Silly (but practical) question - Average cost of using a WC? Wouldn't want to be denied when the need is great 😂
