Thanks Julia - We are with another couple and that 2b/2b sounds good. Is it expensive and where on Moorea is it? Any information would greatly appreciated.

Deb,

We have stayed at Les Tipaniers on a land based trip in 2003. I would consider this hotel as modest accommodations not at all a resort type, but was clean and comfortable. It was very centrally located within walking distance of the shopping area. The restaurant had very good food and was some of the most reasonably priced we found. The only negative was that this hotel seemed to cater more to the European cliental, although they were very accommodating and helpful to us. I am about to leave in 5 days for the TP cruise, but if you send me an email (in signature) I will try to answer any questions you may have and I also have some pictures of the bungalows in stayed in I could send.

Try this link and you may get more information from others. http://www.tahiti-explorer.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi

Deb,

Here's the link to the Linareva:

And here's a link to the actual bungalow:

It is about $245USD a night for 4 people. I found a couple review from people that have been there recently and they enjoyed it.

Here's a link with info on the location:

Apparently there is a very good and reasonably priced pizza place next door and the restaurant at Linareva is supposed to be awesome, but expensive as is everything. The Bungalow also has a full kitchen, so we're planning to bring some supplies from home to cut down on meal costs.

Another option we considered with great reviews was La Bai De Naurei:

It looks very nice, has great reviews and is on one of the better beaches on Moorea. Our problem was that it didn't have A/C and no windows, so we were worried about heat and mosquitoes.

I hope this helps and let me know if you need any more help.

Julie

we are planning to stay several nights at Le Tipaniers when we go again next January. we stayed at Pension Motu Iti last year and really enjoyed it. Linareva looks very nice, but is very far removed from any other restaurants, you probably would need a rental car if you stay there.
