Ervin is a professional soccer player during the season and does tours during the summer.   He comes from line of home builders and told us of how restrictive they are.   All homes must be either white or natural stone color only.   Originally all structures were required to have blue trim.   For centuries the people were prevented from flying their blue and white flags so the celebrated their heritage by painting their homes white with blue trim.   In recent years they have revised regulations to require white painting or natural stone and bright trim of any color.

After a quick tour of a church.  Ervin showed us a traditional restaurant.  Evidently they are being forced out of business due to more upscale places.

We set our clocks back last night for European DST.  I screwed it up.   I manually changed our time on our iPhones and was surprised when Arsen knocked on the door with breakfast.   I guess IPhone automatically set the time back another hour.

Dailey for Sunday.

Arrived Nauplion early today.  Crystal blue skies and mirror smooth seas.   I have to go back to the room to put on shorts.  It’s going to be about  85 today.

From what I can see they only the the Edenet show on some nights.   Not sure if that is new.

I think that started on the TA last spring or around that time. Someone onboard reported that it was 4 nights of Edenists on their TA, I believe, with other performers on other nights. I was happy to hear that since the venue is such a nice venue for mellow music. They also cut the show down to 45 minutes, instead of 2+ hours. The show is interesting and fun to watch, but we would rather have variety.

We spend a lot of time before and after dinner listening to music in Ensemble Lounge on S Class - this isn't as small and cozy, but we like to hang out on 6 at the rail in Eden and look down on the performers on 5, with the wake in the background. Plenty of space to spread out, nice chairs, cocktail tables, a little quieter up there and great bar service.

Mykonos photos were outstanding.

That was one of our favorite ports. The colors of the water there are incredible.

Love the  doors and architecture;  and the people we met there were interesting and  for the most part happy souls!

Looking forward to this next port,,.never been there!  You picked a great itinerary,

Really enjoyed the port today.  It was a first for us.  Town was active and really bustling.   Finally realized it is Sunday and many Greek were in town.

This is another tender port and Celebrity were using the Magic Carpet and the new tenders.   What a difference.

Loving your report Jim.  Your pictures are beautiful and particularly enjoying all the different doors.

LOL - I think you noticed that I love the colors and structure of doors.

THE DOORS!  Love them. I too take way too many pictures of doors. Maybe it is a metaphor for the mystery of a passage into another world. Very Cool. Thanks for the journey.

The new show was on our April 7th cruise a couple of times at 10:15.  It is quite good.

You would love Dublin, Ireland.   We lived there for 3 years and it is amazing.    There are books published of picture of all the colored doors.

I love doors as well.  And door knockers!  Was just looking at my pictures of Mdina the other day.  Many, many doors and door knockers.  And I have many Dublin doors as well!  Even a series of magnets of them.

I'm enjoying your review of the sunny Greek Islands on what is a rainy, gloomy 48 degree Maine Sunday. Your review and your wonderful pictures are certainly a bright spot on this typical Autumn New England day. Thanks guys for sharing.

I enjoyed your post from Mykonos - we were there on our cruise and really didn't like it.  Probably because we didn't book any tour with ship or private and there were 5 or so ships in port.  Way too crowded.  If I'm there again, I'll try to find your tour guide.

Just found your new post.  I followed your Summit B2B Bermuda/New England in June (right after we got off the Summit) and am really excited to follow your Westbound TA since we hope to take that TA in a year or two.  We're deciding whether to leave from Rome on the Silhouette type ship or Barcelona on the Infinity (Summit sister ship).  We really love the Summit (we deserted the QM2 for the Summit).

Too bad Captain Kate and her cat Bug Naked won't be traveling with you on the TA.

Thanks again for your posts, pictures, etc.

Bon voyage!!

We didn't have a tour or excursion when we were there..After seeing the main  tourist spots like the windmills we  went off the main streets & took many twist and turns in side streets.  We really had a great time....smaller shops, fewer people, time to enjoy!

If we ever get back, we would love to go to a local beach..

Lorrie

The weather has been amazing so far.  We have had all sunny days so far and very mild temperatures.   The seas have also been so smooth we haven't hardly felt the seas so far.     I'm up early today -  8:00 is early for me on a cruise.   The temperatures are chilly at about 57F but suppose to be 75F today.   Nice and sunny so I am sure it will be very comfortable.
