Hey Suite Guests! What have you asked your Concierge to do for you?

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow suite guests! We are currently on the Liberty of the Seas and haven't asked much of anything of our Concierge. Mostly because we don't know what to ask for. What have you asked your Concierge to do for you?

About the only thing we have ever asked for is dining reservations. Typically we will visit the concierge the first day and make any reservations for the week. That's about it.

That’s about all we’ve done - and only because the restaurant we wanted was booked all week. If I can make my own reservation, I do.

These are great! Thanks for your help!

Tomorrow I'm going to see if she can get us seated with a specific server in the main dining room.

We've done My Time Dining this week. Our service was mediocre at best the first two nights. Tonight, the service was AMAZING!

I'll let you know what happens. 😊

Make a new set sail pass when mine died

Get PS3 controllers and games. Sometimes we bring a DVD set to watch on sea days (yes I know there are cool things to do on the boat but I don’t get to hang out with my college age daughter anymore)

They are a wealth of information when it comes to planning an outing at a port when you have no excursion planned.  Always plenty of great (and money saving!) ideas.

I’ve also had them volunteer to help with little things such as when our 6 year old lost his first tooth onboard.......they played tooth fairy beautifully!    An offhand conversation led to quite the memorable occasion that day.

Had a hairdryer sizzle out on formal night, as DD and I were getting ready- housekeeping could not help, so called concierge, and minutes later a new hairdryer appeared. (Apparently procured on loan from the salon; very quick thinking on his part, in my opinion!)  Totally saved the evening.

Refunds on excursions gone bad: we had one that was so totally overbooked, we refused to get on the catamaran for SRO, but they were pushing us to do so.  Concierge got us refund with just our explanation of what our impression was (though we did have photos of the packed boat).

And, of course, as mentioned above the tremendous help in scoring reservations when and where you want them.

They are fabulous, good at their jobs, and really want to help you have the best time ever on the ship.

I think they truly enjoy making someone’s day.   Get to know them, and you will be so glad you booked a suite!

Hope you are enjoying yourself.  We will be boarding Liberty on Sunday.  We will just miss you or if you are staying on for a b2b we will see you in the SL.   How is the concierge Nadja?  Have never cruised with him/her.

Don’t bother with a specific server.

The head waiter and a visit from the head chef.

And ship tours .

When on Freedom class, We often ask our concierge to arrange for Main Dining room food to be brought to our suite for dinner. We choose from the menu in the SL and then he makes the call for us.

Isn’t this something you can do for yourself? There’s a menu in your suite.

Yes, but we are usually in the SL enjoying the happy hour and it’s nice to have someone else do it for us. We spend another 5 or 10 minutes in SL then head to our suite for dinner.

Guess I’ve always been self-sufficient and low maintenance.

Dinner with the captain for my son. We didn't ask but my son did tell the concierge that his goal after college was to work for RC.

I think you can ask them to do anything for you (they may or may not be successful), as long as you plan on tipping them at the end.

I usually ask for a nice table for two next to a window in the MDR instead of one of those chopped off tables for two where you bump elbows with the guy at the table beside you.

So exciting for you!  Hope you have a great time! I wish we were doing a B2B. Someday!

Nadja is very nice. We haven't asked much of her. She did seek us out to invite us to the theater, galley and bridge tours.

One evening we went to the SL and all of the seats were taken. She rolled over her chair and offered it to us while she found two other chairs.

Of course she offered to escort us to the tender. We didn't take her up in it because we booked an excursion. I did see her escorting others.

We definitely like her. I hope you experience her the same way. 😁 Enjoy your cruise!

Sailing the Royal Suite on Grandeur, got into Miami later than planned, did not have RC excursion but had planned to go to Aquarium so asked Concierge to get us off the boat ahead of RC excursions and he accommodated without issue.  We were first ones of the boat, walked out of port, jumped in uber and got to aquarium just in time for when the sea lion show started.
