Very interested in this thread as we are scheduled for the same cruise in February....but my cruising partner is pretty sure she will have to cancel (she has the Princess insurance).  I need to call Princess to find out what my options are but I'm dreading the answer!  I'd still like to go but not if they are gonna charge me a single supplement (wouldn't that be double dipping since insurance covers the cost of her portion?)  Anyway, yes,  I will call Princess directly to see what answers I get.

In the meantime, have a wonderful cruise and thank you for the pictures!

I bet no more than 20% of the passengers will figure out what the red and green means! But I'm retired Navy, and probably over estimating!😉

Doug

That's higher than the & of passengers who figured it out on the other ships when the colors were very visible stripes (easily seen before entering the hallway) and not a few colored dots now and then.

I'm still trying to understand Princess' concept of FREE....you still have to purchase something to get the free item....the cost of which is already built into the the merchandise. It's like when I go to the supermarket for  the BOGO free item sale...The "regular price" is now double of what it was last week.

After looking at the assorted coupons, looks like we will use the BOGO at the Crown grille on the first night of our upcoming Crown cruise and toss the remaining into the overfilled waste basket along with spa/Effy/casino/duty free ads that are continually in our mail box. Maybe Princess will adopt the same policy as Celebrity - no more paper junk ads, everything is on the App. Sure saves trees.

That would be pleasant for those of us who rarely even look at all those paper ads. I generally toss them in to the "recycle bin" <aka trash can> immediately upon entering our cabin. And I can also leave my phone off to avoid ones like on Celebrity! Actually, the paper used in all those ads probably doesn't contain much actual wood, but I know what you mean and share your feeling.

I read somewhere on CC that a passenger placed a note on their cabin door requested no paper ads, and it was actually honored. I plan to do that on our cruise next month......hopefully my request will also be honored.

25% of the time I go to the correct side and go the correct way down the hallway

25% of the time I go to the correct side, but start out the wrong way down the hallway

25% of the time I go to the wrong side , turn around, go to the other side and go down the correct way on the hallway

25% of the time I go to the wrong side, turn around, go to the other side and go down the wrong way on the hallway

I'm not too worried about that extra 30 seconds and steps ...

HA! And you are surely not alone! I am retired USN and a little proud <maybe stuffy?> of that and sometimes slip into nautical jargon and get odd looks from people. But with all my thinking I've got this ship stuff down, I had a real faux pas about 2 years ago. We had an aft view cabin on the Celebrity Silhouette. It was pretty much amidships (the center line), so it didn't make much difference if I walked down the port or starboard side of the ship....but it was important that I went AFT getting off the elevator/shairwell! Once when I took the aft elevator, I was distracted (probably by a young lady 😉) and I turned and walked FORWARD.....I did not figure out my mistake until about the time I reached the bow....... That was a long walk back to our cabin. So I suppose none of us are immune to the occasional "misdirection".😎

Can't recall the ship, but it had assorted fish on the carpet - swimming forward, not aft. Plus the color differentiation. Sure helped to find the cabin, though the long walks were good to burn off the extra calories.

Good morning from the beautiful Crown Princess!!
It is a sunny clear day as we head south to St Thomas.

Great dinner last night. I had the Sole along with the Beef Satay for an appetizer.
Also on the menu was the pork  chop/spaghetti carbonara and others that escape me. Another appetizer was the cold coconut soup.

My son and wife attended a weird session of bingo held on the MUTS screen at 5pm yesterday. I think the fun is now officially missing from Bingo with the iPad and numbers marked off electronically. You just sit there and watch. 🙄 They did win $200 though!
Nothing planned for today except for balcony time. I can sit and watch the sea all day long!
Well I shall check in later! Have a great day!

That may work but only if your cabin steward remembers to follow your instructions. They've been handing our leaflets a much as ever.

I can throw them away as fast as they leave them. 😃

Currently 400 plus Bears on this cruise. Not possible to find usable seating/space at the aft pool/area during the day.

We have sailed several times when this group has been onboard. Once being on the Emerald with 800 plus.

yep, we were on our Halloween cruise with that group ... well at least the ones that stayed over from the previous week ... couple hundred at least ... and the "adult" aft pool and outrigger bar were completely taken over ...

That would be nice.  Are you staying on for three segments?  If leaving Nov 7, you could leave with Stewart.  II can let you know the cabin zone (B32x) Inside or exact.

I will be leaving the 28th and heading to the Sky shortly thereafter.

So it may not work for our Nov 7.  If you find someone else staying on, just give to them.  Otherwise you can try our cabin steward.  Hope you enjoy the new ship.  We might be on her in Winter 2021.  Made two bookings recently.  Same itineraries as Crown doing this season.

Medallion Net has been disconnecting every 5 or 10 minutes all day long. Very frustrating.

be sure to complain about not having the best interwebs at sea and get a refund !

after all that is what Princess has promoted, right ?
