Wow! $12 for 60 minutes is inexpensive, given on land it costs $18. One thing I do not like is the different age groupings. It should be grouped as it is in the youth facilities.

I still don’t understand the logic of putting a trampoline on a moving ship. I don’t think it will take long for the first person to be injured.

I agree. I was thinking people already get sea-sick, so just imagine jumping up and down and messing your equilibrium...

I think it's a good addition and, in my opinion, is a much better activity than the IMAX. These trampoline parks are heavily padded to help prevent injuries. And most of the time, there won't be enough movement to make it any more dangerous than one on land. I could even see them shutting it down if the ship hits rough water and they decide it's not safe.

One thing that kind of sucks is that it'll only be open in late afternoon and evenings on port days. It'd be nice if it were open for those who decide to stay on board while in port and enjoy it when the ship isn't as crowded.

Alas, I doubt we ever travel to the west coast to sail on the Panorama, but maybe we'll get a chance to check this out if they ever reposition her in the future.

I look at it this way. In general, cruise ships are all very similar when it comes to amenities. The usual things, like casinos, eateries, bars, clubs, live performances, bands, etc. Cruise lines are looking outside the box to set themselves apart. That's the biggest reason we're going to see the cruise industry's first "roller coaster" at sea. We'll continue to see some crazy stuff in the future as they all strive to add the next great attraction.

I wish they would have put an escape room instead.  I think it would have been a much better activity for a ship, would have appealed to a larger age group, and could have been set up so folks with mobility issues/disabilities could attend too.  It seems to be something that will only appeal to the young and/or able bodied.  We're booked on her in February 2020, I guess we'll find out.

Just a guess, but with the trampoline park, they could get "repeat customers," and therefore, repeat revenue. That probably was a factor, or at least a bonus in their eyes. Once someone completes an escape room, they're probably not likely to do it again.

We tried the IMAX on Horizon and loved it, but the Skyride was closed for our entire sailing which was the 2nd sailing from NYC after the ship arrived in the US. So within a month of her inaugural the skyride was already down. I'm hoping that the Skyride will be operational on our Panorama sailing so we can try it. I would also love to try the trampoline park but the IMAX was great for relaxing and cooling off after being out and about on a sea day. Im wondering if the nighttime blacklight glow party will be part of camp ocean activities or not. I would imagine not considering its all ages and they wouldn't want random adults interacting with the children but it would be cool if they opened it up for the night owls.

I don't like how 6 year olds are grouped with 14 year olds.  I find that interesting and, frankly, quite dangerous to the little ones.

My thoughts exactly. It should be 6 months-5 years (with parents), 6-11, 12-17 and 18+.

This looks like fun, I think it's a better thing to have on the ship than an IMAX theater, but I guess we'll see! I really like the laser tag arenas that some other cruise lines have been putting on their ships too.

Personally, I don't need to watch an IMAX movie on a cruise, so I'm not disappointed to see it replaced. If I want to see one, I'll just do it on land. I'll only watch a dive-in movie if I'm bored and nothing else interests me more, but even then it's only because it's free. I don't feel like paying to watch a full-length movie on a cruise. However, I am interested in trying out the Thrill Theater on Horizon next year. I've been to similar experiences on land, so it's not a must-do item on my list, but if they're featuring a show that really interests me, I might check it out once.

I like Sif's idea of a laser tag arena. Those are always pretty fun and a good one could be done in the same amount of space as this trampoline park.

Yeah! Just imagine if Carnival Panorama had a laser tag arena! It could be two stories, making it even more fun!

I am surprised you like Carnival since you frequently mention ideas for Carnival that are already on RCCL and NCL ships.

I like Carnival for its value. Royal has a lot to offer too, but since I am VIFP Gold on Carnival, and of lower status on other lines, I have no incentive to book other than the activities specific ships offer.

I read something about a new Princess ship having an interactive escape room with different outcomes.  I've only done one on RCCL and it was included with the ship fare (Anthem).  I might try it again even though we solved it because different people solved different parts, but in general I agree that it is likely a one and done for most completed rooms.

I agree I would have loved laser tag.. Not a fan of the trampoline park at sea. We have a skyzone in the town next to us and I can say they have their fair share of weekly injuries (knees or ankles). Hopefully, that's not the case especially for someone on vacation.

Maybe it is just me - but as I get older I find I need less of what the new mega-ships have to offer!  I am content hanging in Serenity, or another quiet area of the ship. While I do enjoy the shows, movies, water parks, ropes courses on some of the CCL ships, and would love to try the Havana area,  I think I am going to avoid the newer, larger ships and stick with the smaller, "quieter" ships for a while.

Imax and the Thrill theater don't excite me- I don't love movies so I really wouldn't pay for them on a cruise.

The trampoline park sounds fun to me, especially the blacklight party.  I've always sort of wanted to go to one on land, but I don't have children, and it's an obvious kids thing here, and I don't want to be a solo adult strolling in.  Having adult sessions on the ship means I could do it once without making it uncomfortable for me, or other families.

Laser tag sounds fun too though.  I guess if ships are adding things to do, I prefer more active options versus movies.  But, I'm cheap enough that it would probably all be one and done for me- I like to keep my onboard spending low.

I think that is the first time I have heard someone say being Gold has been an incentive to book with Carnival. My wife and I are both Platinum and that has no impact on deciding what cruises to book.
