Carnival expands service to Alaska

As for Alaska cruises, the water, whales, and most ports are all the same. There will be a naturalist on the ship. It's about the scenery, not the partying. I find the ship mostly irrelevant.

 

If you want Glacier Bay, though, Carnival Cruise is locked out for a decade. HAL, Princess, Seabourn, even Cunard will have available.

That cruise caught my eye, and I was in shock as to how many sea days there was.

I'm looking at 2021 sailing for my birthday.  I always wanted to sail out of San Francisco.  Not to mention I love the number of sea days in between ports to enjoy

We booked this past May and we're very excited to cruise to Alaska.

I think for Carnival to compete they have to come up with good land offereings.  I am just starting to look at Alaska cruises for 2021 and from everything I've seen so far, HAL and Princess are the ones everyone recommends.  They both offer good land packages to go along.  If I'm going to do Alaska, you gotta hit the interior as well...at least to Denali.
