Hi there,

just booked a Navigator JS and let them pick my room. Got my receipt and it says “Stateroom,: GTY.” I paid for the JS so I just want to edify that I’ll get a JS with that?

If you booked a JS guarantee then you will get at least that when they do assign your room.

Thanks! I did, but the receipt just says “Stateroom: GTY,” so I’m a bit nervous since it is our first time doing GTY!

Contact whoever booked your cruise and ask for Royal's Guest Copy of your booking confirmation.  That will show your exact category that was booked.

Don't worry, that is what they look like now.  They don't say suite guaranty on them anymore.

Nope, they assign them when they feel like it.  We leave 5 weeks from today and are waiting on a suite guarantee.

There's no "usually" or "typical".   Anytime between now and when you show up at the pier.

And don't  panic if you see random room assignments. Like an inside or balcony. When you actually see a room number that is your assigned room

You will At LEAST get a JS....you might get something better, but don't count on it.  A JS is a lovely way to cruise!

We have done a GTY multiple times.  Sometimes they get assigned quick.  Once it was assigned seven days out and changed four days out.  We always received, at least, what we paid for.

If they assign it when we get there, what happens with the luggage we dropped off before parking?

Porters have a manifest to look up your cabin number and can put it on luggage tags for you.
