Water Shoes Needed at Mambo Beach?

To expand my answer. The stones are near the edge of the beach when you enter the water. If you walk further in the water the bottom is sandy. I had to wear my water shoes as my feet are sensitive. I can't stand those first steps without protection. YMMV. The beach is calm because they have built a rock wall. All the beaches in that area I have been too are like that with the stones at the edge. I have been to Mambo a few times. It has been more crowded every time and more commercial. We will be in Curacao in December and I am browsing around for another beach. When we do Curacao we don't spend the whole day at a beach, only a couple of hours, since we find it an interesting port on its own.
