Can I use OBC in the Journey Casino

Going to  have a wad of OBC on the Journey, and it is only a 5 day cruise.  Can I use it in the casino?

There is no casino any more on the Journey.

Use it for: Upgrade internet, excursion, upgrade drinks and/or transfer to airport

Sorry, you are right. Only on the Journey the casino is still there, but the rest of the answer keeps the same. You can't use OBC in the casino and must use it for other things incl the shops.

Hi!

I think it depends upon what type of OBC it is.

If it's from your TA then I think you can use it in the casino.

If it's from Azamara then you can't.

Thanks that is what I thought as well and it is too bad. We will be on the same ship as the OP, same situation,nice OBC and on the Mass marketed lines you can use your non refundable credit in the casino. But, guess what? I bet we will find a way to use all the credit even if not in the casino. Between tours,  spa, shopping, specialty dining, the money will get used.

On our cruise 2 weeks ago aboard the Pursuit we had literally a boatload of OBC and then at the end received $200 more because of a missed port.  We came home with a few more men's Izod shirts and huge chocolate bars than expected. 😃

We did  b2b and had $500 on first cruise and $1000 on second. Ended up buying lots of perfume for the daughters in law but choice of fragrances fairly small. Not many items we wanted to buy. Used some on wifi packages and drinks not in our package but not easy to spend

I wish I'd remembered to ask you about your TA when we were onboard--we had some OBC, but certainly not a boatload.  And for the first time we actually went over our OBC because  Friday evening I bought one of the PerryGolf pictures of DH.  Had I known to get our VAT refund form stamped at the airport, we'd have come out ahead, but oh, well!

I had my eye on those giant chocolate bars, but found some costume jewelry I liked, and DH bought a ridiculously expensive baseball cap.  I really wanted to tell him he couldn't buy it because of the price, but with that $200 from Azamara, didn't think that would be fair of me 🙂

I'm still waiting on my VAT refund.. been checking daily.😃

Next time you will know about getting a stamp.  Actually at the BCN airport they had scanners which is faster and easier than waiting for a customs stamp.

Seems however that each airport has a different way of doing things so just when you think you are an "expert" you end running around asking a million questions like we did.🤷‍♀️

He bought an Azamara t-shirt, too  🙂  It was less expensive than the baseball cap, so I was okay with that purchase!  LOL.

Bonnie, when we were on Celebrity in June, DH bought two of their ball caps.  He commented when he purchased the Azamara one that the X caps were much better quality (and they were about half the price, although they were on sale).  We also have a great quality RCI cap we won at trivia--Azamara needs to see if they can get in on a bulk order under the RCCL umbrella  🙂  In particular, X has a cap made of lightweight performance material and it's really nice.
