Junior Suite - Explorer of the Seas - coffee maker and tea kettle?

Recommended Posts

We're in a JS on the Explorer and we're looking at maybe bidding up... do we need to get a coffee maker?  Some posts here make it seem there is a coffee maker and a tea kettle but other material we've seen doesn't include it.  Would appreciate the definitive word.  Yes to a coffee maker and kettle?

Yes, you are likely to have one in your cabin.

Kinda looking for more than "likely."  Yes or no?

There's virtually never a definite answer for anything, as invariably, someone has an example of an exception. So sure I can tell you that you will definitely will have a coffee maker, and then someone will come along and say they didn't have one in their cabin.

If I can get something saying we're supposed to have one or several folks who were there in a JS on the Explorer and had one I'd be happy.

But you're right.  You could say "We had a ceiling in our stateroom" and someone would complain and say "WE SURE DIDN'T HAVE ONE AND IT RAINED ON US EVERY DAY."

JS and above on all RCI ships are meant to have a kettle.
All JS we have been in have a kettle. And some coffee filter thingie that we could never get to work.

I am in a JS on explorer at the moment and have a kettle and coffee maker. If you don't have one just speak to your cabin steward about getting you one. There should be no problem

How is your cruise going on Explorer? Are you happy with the food, entertainment, crew and condition of the ship?

I also hope there is a tea and coffee pot in our JS cabin. But I don't mind walking to the cafe promenade and getting one in a paper cup.

There was one last December in Australia,it was the same one in grand suite.

If you can get a grand suite for the right price, get it .

The suite lounge has a good coffee machine. I used to get a couple of cappuccinos and take them back to the cabin.

Thank you...no problem about the CD. We don't pay much attention to the CDs. They are just showoffs anyway:)

What's better in the grand suite?  We could bid up if it was worth it ... so why should we?

We had a grand suite and sister had junior suite on explorer.

Grand suite you get the use of both diamond and concierge lounge, free drinks during happy hour, free ship tours ,a fancy lunch with the captain and his team where the food is great.

The use of the concierge which will get the best seats and make things happen for you.

A private number for the kitchen and the chef to get free room service.

 Basically first class.

There was a huge line to get back on the ship at one port and we wanted to be polite and wait in line. The concierge saw us and said you and your friends come with me .

There was some sour faces as she escorted us onto the ship.
