Yep, and the following is a definition and some synonyms if that helps your understanding:

One complains about a thread being derailed, then derails it by discussing the derailment and goes off-topic themselves.  🙄

We were also on the Seaside for two weeks in October and had the exact opposite experience. The butler handles this and they couldn't have been more accommodating (we had a different butler the second week as the original one went on vacation). The mini fridge was stocked with only what we wanted and we never ran out. Not only did they both offered to bring specialty drinks to the cabin, from any bar on the ship, but also offered to get us drinks when he escorted us to the theater for the shows.

This is good to hear

Hoping the minis vs 1 lt thing is worked out and the mini bar and snacks stays the way it was when we purchased our B2Bs...

DH likes non alcholic beers on occasion during the day...so we'd ask for those

More likely to add brut to OJ , or have campari w/ soda

Heard those choc peanuts are yummy 😉

In my experience, this is over the top service and surely hope I have a Butler that is so accommodating for this MSC rookie.

We’ve done a 14 day cruise, on the Seaside, each of the last two years. We found the butlers to be very accommodating and they work very well together, especially in the lounge and escorting guests to the theater. They will do whatever than can to make your cruise enjoyable even if they aren’t yours. All you have to do is ask.

They certainly are!  Addictive.  I board Seaside in two weeks and certainly hope this madness hasn't spread to that ship.

HC ... Seems to be just Bellissima and Grandiosa so far.

I really hope they don't extend it to other ships.  I love those choc nuts, too (though I may only have one or two tins over the course of a cruise lol).   I would often enjoy a g&t from the minibar on the balcony with the nuts and was looking forward to doing the same on Preziosa next year.

Yes Bea I love them, hoped they would be on Bellissima in Feb, they are my weakness DH loves Pringles & Peanuts

One of my very favourite treats as a child was a box of choc-flavoured coated nuts (it wasn't real chocolate, but was delicious).

But you'd still be able to purchase them.....✍️ 🤣

What stateroom were you in on the seaside? Hope we get your butler next week.

Question for someone who has been in YC recently--do I need to worry about the luggage tags that come with my e-ticket, or are they going to put YC luggage tags on our bags when we arrive at the YC tent in MIA?

I was on Seaside last March... I believe they retag when you drop off bags at Yacht Club boarding area.. So just put on the luggage tags you receive with your doc's and they will handle when you drop off luggage at Port

Yea, they retag them. Not sure why MSC just doesn't send the correct tags to YC members in the first place. For our upcoming YC cruise, I will have the standard luggage tags contained so they cannot be removed, just in case the butler added tags get lost. IMO, I would at least add the tags provided in your documentation even though they will have a short life.

They will put new tags on for you at the YC tent. They write your cabin number on with a pen. Just watch and make sure they write the correct number legibly.

Another tip-

When you arrive at the terminal, it can be a bit of a madhouse. Tell them to drop you at the white YC tent which will be at the first part of the building you get to.

The Miami porters are very aggressive. Dont let anyone take your bags until you get to the butlers at the tent. They have their own porter and luggage cart right there.

We were in 18011. Therrie (Terry)  was our butler the first week and we had Glen the second week. All of the butlers we came into contact with were wonderful. The most memorable was Maria, she always stopped to talk to us and see if there was anyway she could help us make our cruise better.

Everyone is upset about this possible change, but I have yet to see anyone giving MSC props for adding the premium internet package to the list of YC privileges.  I'd personally trade snacks and minibar for free internet in a heartbeat.

For me personally, my concern is coming from the lack of transparency of a change to a previously included amenity.  The fact that they are "adding" internet doesn't excuse this.

The only thing I need internet for on a cruise is to check in for my flight home and the last time I did that I think I paid  around $6 so no big deal for me.

Maybe the concierge could have helped me with that?

When/how was this added? Had read it was being added ship by shp and starting in May 2020

Is this changed and available now to YC? and All ships?
