Nanabigjo Posted November 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2019 My husband and I have a back to back cruises on QM2 this spring- 4 nights up and down the English Channel and then a 14 night transatlantic. We have 2 cruise booking numbers but we are in the same stateroom for both cruises. So will we need to actually get off the ship in Southampton at the end of the 4 nights and wait in the embarkation lounge to get back on board or can we stay on the ship? We want to stay on if possible- we have done all the sightseeing around and in Southampton that we want to do and have no desire to shop so can anyone please let me know what to expect- many thanks
exlondoner Posted November 12, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2019 Unless things have changed, you can stay on board. If UK immigration need to see you, they will do it on board.
Mr&MrsHendricks Posted November 12, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2019 Hia. As ExLondoner has commented, you should be fine. Just check immigration. Have you been to Winchester??? Well worth a visit. Magnificent cathedral, and a lovely city. Very walkable. 15 mins on the train from Southampton Central. Return fare £7.40. Regards, Mr. H. BigMac1953 Posted November 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2019 If it's two separate trips, you will probably require new room cards/charge cards. The pursers will arrange this for you.
