Insurance for this situation

My partner is currently doing chemo for recurring NHL.  Doctor estimates it will last from 10/21/19 to 2/1/20.  I am currently on a cruise alone and booked a cruise next October 2020 for both of us. From my understanding even if I buy insurance within the next 14 days to cover pre existing conditions, the fact that he is unable to travel on the day I buy the insurance, we won’t be covered.  What are my options?

I hope your partner's treatment is successful and he recovers quickly.

 

There are plans you may buy anytime before you pay your final payment that cover pre-existing conditions. It's also possible his doctor would say he is able to travel right now, so have him ask his doctor.

Some plans give you up to 21 days after your deposit to buy them.
