Amex spend 500 get 100 is back

If you got the email it means that you qualified for the offer based on the cumulative charges. You would not have received it otherwise.

 

Also, the offer does not say "in a single transaction" which is would if that were a requirement. On the other hand, it also did not say "in one or more charges" as it has in the past.

I did the cash offer on my princess cruise for onboard credit and got them email and the cash credit right away for holland when i bought the Onboard credit online (5 $100 Onboard Credits) the charge appeared like this and i haven't got the confirmation email or the points yet. Is this how the charge appeared for everyone else? I know points offers normally take longer to post then the cash offer but it isn't even showing under the app as redeemed like the cash offer did right away.

Did you buy online the 5 of them at $100? I bought that online and never got the email and charge just posted like this. Is this how your charge showed up?

The offers never show as redeemed right away, although you may get an email saying that you redeemed the offer. It generally takes 24-48 hours AFTER the charge has actually posted to your account, and the offer may disappear from the list for a while between the charge posting and the offer showing as redeemed. All you're seeing there is the pending charge,

Added the offer to my card on Sunday 11/17.  I then went into HAL's site and purchased 5 X $100 OBC for a total of $500.  I just checked my American Express statement on-line and it shows

For anyone looking to book with this offer, HAL's Cyber Sale is starting on Wednesday with free gratuities on verandas and suites and supposedly $25 deposits (not that it matters since you will want to pay $500 to use this offer). Some travel agents (who cannot be mentioned here) are already offering the free gratuities already but not the reduced deposit.

 

I put a cruise on hold until Wednesday, just in case the deal gets better than what my TA currently has. The price already dropped by $100pp on Sunday.

Update on my offer. Booked 2 shore excursions and 2 bus transfers at the same time. Two different charges posted to my account based on the purchase category I guess. One cleared 2 days before the other, neither was over $500 by themselves, but both together were over $500. Eventually got the $100 credit once the second charge cleared. 

 

I have a second offer for 10,000 points I'll likely just pay $500 on the cruise as I haven't hit final payment yet.

Thank you to Wesport for the alert on the AMEX promotion and to NMTraveller for posting the link.  My AMEX offers did not include this offer but I was able to add from the posted link.  I purchased OBC on the HAL website and two days later the $100 credit appeared on my AMEX account.

You might have had it but AMEX only shows 100 available offers at once. Since this one seems to show up at the bottom of the available offers, it might not have been showing unless you had added other offers. In any event, glad you got it. Be sure to add it to your authorized user(s) card (if you have one or more), on their own login.

Just used my offer on 4 cards (me + 3 AU's) to book a cruise that was past the final payment date. Got 3 of the emails immediately but oddly the 4th was delayed for a half hour but it finally arrived.

 

I liked it better when they did not restrict you to having the offer on one card per person, but I can't complain about $400 back.

I have 2 different offers on two different AMEX cards.  Can I only use one of those offers?

That's fine, the dollars and points offers both being able to clip is the one remaining loophole. Sadly, while I do have free AMEX cards that earn MR points, I did not have this offer for points on them. If you have the offers added to your cards, you're good.

It took Amex 6 days to credit me the $100 and that was only after I called.

What did you charge? It's unusual not to get the credit if you have the offer loaded and make the correct purchase (or a purchase that posts as what the offer is looking for).
