To start, they brought out the plate with mini bagels with cream cheese and lox, a waffle cone with strawberries and cottage cheese, chocolate mousse with raspberries, and a cream filled donut.

The main course consisted of steak, a truffle omelet, a monte cristo sandwich, caviar and creamed spinach. Absolutely delicious. Crystal really knows how to pamper

Thank you. This has to be one of the absolute best ways to celebrate a birthday

Oh My!  Arlene received a note that she could schedule a special birthday breakfast at Waterside.  “Special?”   Wow!  What a spread!

without asking what you would like ?? 😱

That would be a total waste of  food  for me

There is a menu describing the breakfast so you could let them know in advance what you don't want.  You can also invite someone to share it with you as it is sized with two people in mind.

I've had a few of these over the years with my wife.  I'll have some of it and my wife some of it.  We make a great team so I'll have the caviar and she'll enjoy the dessert.  I'll take a tasting of some items and some items I'll have more than a tasting.

And some people pass on the breakfast.

It is very nice that they do this and one that they don't publicize ahead of time.

Does the birthday actually have to happen during the cruise? My sister's birthday is March 5 and we will be on a cruise that finishes on March 1. We she (and I!) be eligible to enjoy this feast?

The birthday has to occur on the cruise but you can celebrate it any day you want on the cruise so the birthday breakfast wouldn't be available on the cruise you are on.

Thanks Keith.  I was afraid that this would be the answer. I guess that we will just need to find a future cruise that includes either mine or my sister's birthday.

You are very welcome.

Regardless of the Birthday Breakfast, it's always fun to celebrate an actual birthday or some other special occasion while on board.

On the March voyage you all could still celebrate her birthday while on board and have say an early birthday cake or something along those lines even though you couldn't have the birthday breakfast.
