Lenny, no, no. Rod has so many good songs. 🎶

One of my daughters was attending college in the UK and had an encounter with Rod Stewart in a London pub.He was very nasty to her and used words that I cannot post here.

Prior to that I liked his music .

I knew you'd have an excellent reason.

"We Are Sailing" by Rod Stewart.

We first sang this in Ventura's choir, 2011, on our return from Venice into the Atlantic, so the verse which said "Home again, across the sea" was quite poignant!

And the Sailor's Hymn, "Eternal Father, Strong to Save", which always ends the Sunday worship on the cruise ships we use.

What’s your thoughts on “the morning after” from the Poseidon adventure

An optimistic song for a better day than today:  yes, it is a favorite for me.

In the enduring memory category of losses that I have experienced:  yes, I enjoy hearing it.

A very favorite song of mine when I sail from a port:  Andrea Bocelli's (with or without Sarah Brightman's version) of Time To Say Good-Bye.

Pretty much anything by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole (starting with “Panini Pukea”).
If you check out that song (whatever music app/streaming you use) and like it, take some time to listen to one of his earliest albums: Alone in IZ World. If you don’t already own a sailboat, you’ll want to run out and buy one.
