pierces #1 Posted November 25 Pictures taken between Monday, November 25 and Sunday, December 1. Rules: See above That's it. This isn't a contest. All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others!

pierces #3 Posted December 2 While on a family outing to the Orange Empire Railway Museum to ride the "Polar Express", we took a few moments to look around the grounds. I had heard about how the freeways led to the decline of Los Angeles' public railway system and here was some evidence that it actually existed When not in Polar Express mode, the museum has several of the old streetcars spanning the railway's active years from 1901 to 1963. The rise in automobile ownership and the expansion of the freeway system after WWII led to a steep decline in ridership and eventually caused the railway system to be shut down. I feel a bit nostalgic, though I never saw or rode the LA Railway. Death By Freeway Dave

Docker123 #6 Posted December 3 Visiting Perth for the first time in several years. I took Mum to the cemetery to visit Dad's site. Beautiful setting with interesting locals. It is called Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park.

fyree39 #8 Posted December 4 It snowed out here in the desert and it stuck for that day and into the next. I don't get snow too often, so I had to get a couple of shots.
