Unlimited Dining Package on Independence questions

Recommended Posts

On Indy Jan 1-7, 2020, they actually allowed us $35 pp at Playmakers and the a la carte menu at Izumi.  We grabbed snacks at Playmakers on several evenings after dinner or during football games.  As mentioned above, we also used Playmakers, Johnny Rockets and Fish and Ships on port days for lunch.  We did not eat in the MDR or the buffet once during the entire cruise.  We don't do breakfast. I think we grabbed a few slices from Sorrentos on one post-Casino evening, but only because all of the pay restaurants were already closed.  We purchased the packaged for $118 USD each for a 5 day cruise.  Well worth it for what we got out of it!

Day 1:

Lunch: Playmakers

Dinner: Chops

Day 2:

Lunch: Izumi (sushi)

Dinner: Gionvanni's Table

Day 3

Lunch: Johnny Rockets

Dinner: Izumi Hibatchi

Day 4

Lunch: Fish & Ships

Dinner: Chops

Day 5

Lunch: Playmakers

Dinner: Izumi Hibatchi

was it 35pp per visit, or for the day, any restrictions at all?  We are going in March with the package.  20pp per visit at playmakers sounds like more than enough for what I think we would get.

it was $35 pp per visit. One day we went twice.  No restriction except cannot be used on beverages.  I was expecting the new $20pp but when I asked on the first visit was told $35.  We never even came close to spending $70 on a visit.  I am not even sure if we spent 35

The hostess at Johnny Rockets told me I could eat there as often as I wanted. 😮    I'd have expected a daily limit of maybe 3 or 4 visits based on the $35 a la carte credit and JR's usual "cover," but she seemed certain it was effectively unlimited.  Not sure if that was a "charter" thing or if it's their normal policy.

That is what we were told as well

We have purchased this package for our Oasis cruise. We are going with a group and 6 of us have this package. My question is - if we do hibachi and someone doesn't want hibachi but wants sushi, can they still eat with us?

The hibachi is not in the same area as the sushi, not sure if someone can sit at the hibachi table and not eat. might depend on how crowded they are too
