From $8 for wine, $30 a bottle.

From $8.25 for beer.

Not sure but cocktails start at $10.50 for a Pina colada or like.

Purely out of curiosity, does anyone know why Spirit is heading towards Queensland at present?  
(At least that is what mapping websites are showing).

Just checked the Facebook page where it sounds like people onboard weren’t sure what was going on either.

 I’m assuming (from the limited info they provided) that the ship had maintenance issues and needed to get near the Australian coastline as promptly as possible so contractual crew could get to the ship and work on it.  

It’s now heading south towards Sydney, so hopefully everything is now sorted.

Isles of Pines, Lifou, Mystery Island, Mare, Noumea 

Mainly interested in any tours of historical sites and any good beaches within walking distance of where you get on/off tender boats.

okay IoP, Lifou, Mystery Island are all good swimming ports very handy to the tenders.  Also good for snorkelling although Jinek bay on Lifou is the best but needs to be booked.

I haven't been to Mare but am told the beach is about all that is there, also good for swimming.

Noumea has some day tours that take you to some WII stuff and lookouts, there are also some good beaches and such easily accessible either by taxi, HOHO bus or even local bus at Anse Vata and Lemon Bay. There will be shuttles to the cruise centre. from there it is easy to book private tours or you could do a ships tour.

At Mare there is a shuttle bus, extra cost from memory, that takes you to a lovely lagoon about 20 minutes drive away. Great snorkelling and swimming.

 

Reef shoes are needed for most of the ports although the Isle of Pines has one lovely fine sand beach without coral (the one nearest the tender wharf), the other beach has coral in the sand.

Isle of Pines is incredible, one of my favourites. The beach where you get off the tender is beautiful enough, but follow all the people who are crossing the road and heading around to the Sacred Rock, it’s just stunning. Plonk yourself on the beach there, do some snorkeling around the rock, it’s a beautiful day.

Yes Yejele is a great spot & also there is plenty of shade there. Take some cash ($A is fine) as you can buy cold drinks & food from the local stalls right there on the beach.
