Mariner Status - System Error

Recommended Posts

Just a heads up to take a screenshot of your Mariner Status if it is still visible to you.  I have been getting this message for the past few hours:

Thanks for the tip, Miss G - It never occurred to me to keep a copy of that info. I just made screenshots of the status and list of past cruises pages, and them into a new HAL folder on my ipad.

I hope yours is visible now.

They had better not lose ours as we are one away from the next star level.

One credit away!  Could you not have bought some perfume or something?  😂 That would have driven me crazy.

Thanks @Caribbean Chris.  I have checked and they are now visible.  (And still missing some suite credits which I need to call about.)

I mispoke - really one 7 day cruise away.

Huh, I never thought of that -- purchases in the Shops count toward Mariner points? That would account for some Mystery Points I have never understood (of course I didn't quibble with them!).

Every $300 worth of shore excursions, spa, bar and other purchases counts as an extra day of Mariner points.  So if you spend $600 on your cruise, you will get 2 bonus Mariner points.  Spending in the casino does not count.

Pretty much every onboard expense attributed to your booking number counts toward your Mariner points. Casino charges are one notable exception, but purchases such as excursions, the specialty restaurants, and shops count. That's true whether the purchase is made in advance or on the ship. A HAL transfer at disembarkation, if booked on the ship counts, since it's an excursion.

Even money added to your HSC (not cash distributions) counts. So, if you have onboard credit that can't be refunded and would otherwise go unused, it can be added to the crew fund and you get Mariner points.

Ooh, this is valuable and clever info! We're on a 28-day cruise this coming spring and need another 16 "days" to reach 4*. Already planning to do several HAL Shore X (not ones we won't like, but not aggressively pursuing private tours as we might have otherwise) and considering the SBP as well. We don't generally have abundant OBC over the standard HSC, but that doesn't mean we couldn't add our "extra tips" to the pool via the front desk to get some more points!

16 points is $4800 (yikes!), but the SBP, HSC (std), and one wifi license add up to nearly $4K so a few ShoreX and incidentals including xtra for the crew should do us!

If you use Clinique or L’Occitane products they are less expensive on the ship than they are on land.  Good luck!

I might have to start! Also this will be a commuter-train hop from our home so don't have to worry about 3oz max size!
