rkacruiser Posted December 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2019 What is the situation when a ship's tender arrives/leaves at this port? In order to get to solid land, are there steps? Railings along the steps? I'd appreciate receiving some advice for a senior citizen whose stability is not what it once was.
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2019 The pier is even with the gunwales of the tenders. Solid piers. People in walkers and chairs have no issues. Crew will assist in and out of tender.
Loucat Posted February 12, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2020 Every cruise line has its own dock. They staff the area and are visible under their own canopy. They check cards getting back on the ship and have cool drinks before returning to the ship. We have never had a concern getting on or off tenders. If the seas are even a little rocky, they have men on the dock and tender to guide you on and off. Docks are very well built and stable.
