If really need bring one, do a small Battery or USB powered one...

If you buy a battery operated one, test it at home.

The first one I bought stopped after 6 hours which, of course, woke me right up. I tried it again, as we were cruising, and it never lasted more than 6 hours.

I always bring my own...just a small 5 in. electric desk fan.  I MUST have airflow at night....hot flashes...and it doesn't matter if it's  40 degrees or 70 degrees...it's not the temperature, it's the AIR FLOW!

I also bring a standard  extension cord (no "surge" suppressor) and it's always been fine.

Battery fans don't last, and batteries for replacement WEIGH a lot!  Just get a SMALL electric one.
