Tell me about trivia please🛳🛳🛳

We were recently on the Crown and they usually had 3-4 trivias every sea day. The fun thing about the ones we went to is that they usually had 2-3 of their 6 assistant cruise directors, all comedians in their own right, running them and you were usually laughing a lot during the whole game. Of course, most of the time you were playing for fun, but there were a few where they handed out a bottle of bubbly to the winners.

We were on the Star last month.  They had a trivia game in the morning, late afternoon and then again in the evening.  This happened whether it was a sea day or port day and was headed by different members of the CD staff.  Usually the prize was some trinket like a key chain etc but a couple of times particularly in the evening it was a bottle of cheap bubbly.  Since the crew is from all over the world some are hard to understand.  I like it when they put the questions up on the screen for all to see.  Most of us play for fun but there are those that play for blood and usually are in a group of 6 (maximum group size is 6).

Our cruise director often referred to them as ship prizes ..... yes I said ship!!

I was the lucky recipient of a bottle of shampoo (bubbly) and a wine bottle stopper for winning trivia twice over a 37 day cruise.

On the Ruby last week the Trivia prizes were nearly always Princess coasters.

The horse racing prizes were caps and we won a "one size fits none, Princess Casino night shirt". Horrible looking thing which they obviously couldn't sell. As others said, some in Trivia play for blood so it's good the prizes are almost worthless.

Lots of trivia. Both general knowledge and specific themes. Teams of up to six. Very popular. Teams form early in the cruise and tend to stay together. No electronic assistants. Small prizes to the winners.

A lot depends on who is moderating the trivia. We had one arrogant jerk who "knew it all" and had a bunch of bogus questions with incorrect answers. He also gave people "maybe" 30 seconds max to come up with answers before going on to the next bogus question. On the other hand we have had folks who made it really fun for everybody in the room.
