Gratuities for entertainers.

They are usually contracted but are under guest status onboard.

They do not participate in the auto gratuities.

Therefore you can tip them directly and they keep it.

It's possible you could offend the entertainer by offering a tip. I suggest it would be better to fill out a 'recommendation card' in the entertainer's name and to mention him/her in the post-cruise survey.

That's why they distribute the gratuites to all of them in addition to the regular salaries.
