We are sailing out of dubai 01 Apr 2020.  Our flight arrives in dubai at 6.30am.  Can anyone give me an idea of what time we are able to embark or if we can check in our luggage early at the port then perhaps do some sightseeing for a few hours??

This would be a cruise line policy, one they don't change much if any with the varying ports they serve. Their boarding procedures will be be almost the same in all ports.

You don't tell us what cruise line you are using, or what time you are set to sail...so a rough estimation would be you could drop bags after about 9 or 10, and board after 12noon at the earliest. Again, depending on the cruise line.

And remember that the cruise terminal in Dubai, even though a full facility, is not like the mega-operations you see in SoFla.  Also, you don't have companies in dedicated terminals - it's a joint operation with ad-hoc arrangements.

Plus, just because the flight arrives at 6:30, don't necessarily expect to whisk your way through to the port.  There can be backups at immigration and customs depending on the arrival pattern when you land, plus the mix of passengers.  Some nationalities will take longer to process -- and that can slow the lines.  Fact of life.

Thanks for the replies.  We are with celebrity & departure is not actually until the following day, we were just hoping to get a jump on a little sightseeing rather than sitting in the port for 4-5 hours waiting to check in!

Are you loaded down with bags? Dubai Mall has luggage storage if you want to drop luggage for a while. You can check other places using  annay Bag, even google maps can find luggage storage in cities. If just rolling carry on, you could maybe check out the souks and 'old Dubai' near the port until a reasonable time for embarkation. Grab lunch and maybe a nap then jead out latered for Glow Garden or Global village....both a good choice for eveni g cool temperatures and light shows.
