Allure drink questions

Recommended Posts

1) Thinking of bringing “coolies” to keep our drinks cold. Is beer sold in plastic bottles?
2) can I get a diet Mountain Dew anywhere on the ship? Not getting a drink package.
3) any flavored creamers for coffee or almond milk?
4) any discount drink tips? How do we know the drink of the day?

thanks!!

Hi there,

1. Beer is sold in Aluminum cans and maybe glass bottles as well. I like the aluminum cans because it stays nice and cold for a bit.

2. I haven't seen diet Mountain Dew on the ships yet, sorry

3. I'm not sure about the flavoured creamers but they have flavoured syrups for coffee drinks as well as almond milk

4. The drink of the day will be advertised the night before in the cruise compass. The only deals i've really seen is the odd drink card - 10 drinks for $79 - but not on every cruise. I think it's just offered when drink sales are lower for that cruise, not quite sure. I did a b2b once last year and it was offered the first week and not the second. Also, it's not offered until the last few days of a cruise. There is usually a deal on a bucket of beer though.

Drink cards, if offered, only appear in the last few days of a cruise.

You are permitted to carry on 12 containers of soda (or water or juice/anything non-alcoholic), each of which  holds no more than 17 ounces/half a liter.  So get a 12-pack of Diet Mountain Dew and take it on with you.

You are also permitted to carry on two 750 ml bottles of wine per cabin.

Drink of the Day will be in the daily Cruise Compass, and waiters can tell you about it, and some bars will have a sign.  There is almost always a "mimosa special" in the casino on sea days.  ($2)

Thanks for the info! Like at an all inclusive, can you bring your own cup for them to fill? Like a tervis cup?  Probably not unless you buy the drink package?

They won't fill your own cup.  They will give you a drink in a clean glass and you get to pour it in whatever you like.  Sanitary rules.
