REFLECTION AUGUST British Isles/Amsterdam - Ship Tips?

Recommended Posts

My partner and I have booked the British Isles /Amsterdam cruise in August on the REFLECTION.  Our fist cruise on X.

Would  experienced X Reflection cruises mind sharing any general ship tips/tricks/helpful knowledge about making the time on board as pleasant as possible?

We are booked in a Concierge C3 balcony room.

Thank you!

As a concierge class cabin, you get a bottle of bubbly but will probably have to ask your cabin steward for it. If you wish, you can trade it for a red or white wine. You can request to substitute a cheese plate, fruit plate, or shrimp cocktail for the afternoon canapes.  Can't think of anything specific to RF.

You can eat your lunch on embarkation day in the main dining room, thereby avoiding the crush at the buffet.  That's for concierge class only.

We normally sail sky suites but on our upcoming cruise on Reflection we have booked a far aft concierge cabin and we got all 4 perks through our online TA.  We are using the savings to eat every single evening meal in the specialty restaurants.  We love them all.   So it looks to be a pretty sweet cruise, albeit a bit of a smaller room that we got spoiled with.

We love the burgers at the Mast Grille for lunch, and we love to eat in all the specialty restaurants.   As much fun as the Martini Bar is - and it *is* fun and the drinks yummy, it can get congested and loud.   We honestly love the drinks at the World Class bar much better and it's a great place to meet people and have an actual conversation.

We're not pool or beach people but spending time in the solarium pool or just sitting in the chairs is so relaxing.

It's a beautiful ship.  You'll have a great time.  Don't try and find out too much ahead of time, though.  There's nothing like that first time on a ship with the "ooh" and "aaaah" as you turn each corner.
