How does pre-purchased deluxe beverage pkg work?

Recommended Posts

There is usually a sticker on your card, but there doesn't have to be. Just hand your card to a bartender, and s/he will swipe it and see that you have the package. They will then hand you a drink and a receipt for zero. It works as soon as you board, although in Galveston you have a limited selection until you leave. I believe in Puerto Rico you also pay sales tax while in port. Otherwise, you are good to go.

No US sales tax on drinks covered by the beverage packages nor on the purchase of a beverage package while in port.

If you check in before rooms are ready, can we have the bartenders swipe the barcode on the app to get our first drinks?  I assume that would work, but have never done with without the actual Sign and Sail card.

YES..

If you are on a ship where you do not get your SeaPass card until rooms open, you can use the app (if available on that ship) or hand the bar staff your Set Sail Pass - that also shows what drink package you have as well.

Have fun!
