MSC Casino Inquiry

Recommended Posts

Leaving Sunday on only my 2nd cruise with MSC.  I like to gamble. Mostly BJ, Craps if they had and some video poker.  Last year I didn’t think much about points. Can any of you give me advice as to the Ins and outs of the MSC casino “club” so to speak?  I do not see where they have their own “club”.  Should I just wing it and give them my card each time and see where I’m am at the end of the cruise or maybe deposit money into my onboard account and withdraw as needed?  How much as a minimum would you all say is a good amount to get “noticed”?  Is there a separate casino Dept to contact before the cruise that would be better than winging it?  Any other ideas or suggestions to help me is appreciated.

If you gamble enough, they offer you 30% off your next cruise.  30% off a YC room is a good deal -- my friend saved over $1500 on his next cruise and luckily he won at the tables so it was $1500 plus his winnings.

Once you give your card to the dealer, or insert it into the slot machine, you will generate points based on your betting amount and playing time. To check your points during the cruise, you can put your card into any slot machine and it will let you know.  As per how they calculate how many points you get, not sure, hopefully, someone can chime in on that for you/me.

If you play slots, there are times in the day, that slots are double points, so you can get to their min point requirement quicker.

Obviously you know that table games are going to give you the less points, they just do. 1,200 points will get you 30% off a cruise, and that amount  isn't hard to get.

I worked out that $1 play through got 1 point. But I spent one evening playing an hour B/J at $15 a hand and got no points at all!

If the VP machines are set up anything like Vegas then you will need to play through $4 for one point.

You use your room key  as a players card and keep track of the points.

We have only been on the Seaside and they didn't have craps, but did have 5 VP machines, 4 BJ tables from as little as $5 a hand, roulette, 3 card and 5 card poker.

MSC has the best casino club at sea.

We have been able to take advantage of the 30% off twice. Here is the BIG difference between them and other casino clubs...

they let us pick ANY cruise, ANY date and use OUR agent.

Of course we picked the yacht club and our internet agent through in gratuities and onboard credit, then we got in touch with MSC and they took off the 30%.

Not sure, but try.  844-672-7529 for casino club.

Not sure I agree with everything said above.

There were no craps games on the Divina or Seaside for the 8 cruises we did.

I play BJ, Roulette, 3 Card and UTH plus craps when available.

I play for the fun and excitement of the game.  At times I wouldn't give my card as I don't need points to get a stuffed toy or boat, etc.  Casino person(?) told me I was losing the opportunity for cruise discount so I gave them my card.  Believe me they know who is gambling and who is just playing.  After a couple of nights play, we do BTB, casino personnel would approach us and ask some information to give us a discount on a future cruise.  I blew them off as a rip off but lo and behold they were serious.  Both the wife and I have gotten 30% off cruises and $150-300 free play.

Don't lose the document they give you as there is no way you can get the discount without it.  We left our letter in the room last trip with some other documents and even though trying no one in MSC Casino responds.

Enjoy your cruise, eat drink and gamble a bunch.
