I thinks it’s better to cover fewer continents in more depth rather than all continents tangentially.

IIRC, that is what they have done in the past -alternating itineraries to cover different areas in alternate years.

We've done Kenya and Tanzania on safaris and nothing else in Africa which of course require multiple days. We're big fans of S. America which has multiple cities of interest and other places like Iguazu Falls. I'm biased 🙂
