Championship NFL games on Carnival ships.

Recommended Posts

It just occurred to me as I was planning for today's festivities that I will be on  Panorama next weekend for the championship games. I've heard that national airing games are on in the sports bar but for really big games do they put them on the jumbo TV on lido? I imagine there will be 1K+ (possibly many more) guests who want to watch the championships and I'm not seeing how this could be accommodated any other way. Anyone been during championship weekend? How does it work and what are the options?

I was on a cruise out of NOLA last October, and the Saints game was on in the Lido deck. Lots of fun.

I was also on a cruise during the Super Bowl. They played that almost everywhere. Main theater, Lido, sports bar, etc.

There is no guarantee it will be on. My bet is, it won't be hard to find though

Thanks for the responses. Makes me feel relived. It had totally slipped my mind when we booked the cruise. I actually did it once before in Vegas. Booked Cosmo high floor fountain view then noticed rates shot up by double or triple in some cases. Turns out we had unknowingly booked Super Bowl Sunday. What a sweet bonus! Plus Brady came through at the end of the game in spectacular fashion and I won my bets. Fantastic trip. Anyway I digress. Hopefully someone embarking today on Panorama can verify what the situation was like with today's games. I'd imagine it would be a similar set up.

You probably want to hear from someone who has actually been on board for a conference championship game. We know they have a big super bowl party every year and play it on lido and in the main lounge. I know they had an article at the beginning of the year saying they were showing Saints games on Lido out of New Orleans and I believe Texans/Cowboys games on lido out of Galveston. None of that means they'll do it for the conference championships.

We are currently on the carnival pride for a journey cruise. It’s Saturday night and the ravens are playing the titans. They have it on the big screen at the pool, in the casino and at skybox, the sports bar. ( not playing in the staterooms tho😜)

We were on the Elation last year during the Super Bowl.  We watched the game in the main theater.  They served snacks during the game, such as chicken fingers, nachos, etc.  There were no commercials during the game, and that was kind of a downer since I love the Super Bowl commercials.  But, it was still a fun time.

Great replies so far, very helpful. After reading the other thread about the Super bowl and moving the formal night to Monday I am now wondering if they will do the same for the championship Sunday coming up. There will be two games, lots of fun in the sun, probably a lot of adult beverages, and folks casually dressed. Will they still do the first formal night on Sunday for the championship games or will it, like has been suggested in the super bowl thread, be moved to Mon? Or do they do that only for super bowl Sunday and not championship Sunday?

Quick follow up question, does the aft pool have a large TV as well or is it only on Lido?
