Hi, will there be a new sub forum for Ritz Carlton cruise line?

When it reaches critical mass.  One very small ship doesn't generate much traffic on Cruise Critic.

Is there any information about the cruise line Ritz Carlton tying in with Marriott loyalty?

There was just an ad for this on Facebook.  I hadn’t heard of RitzCarlton having cruise ships before.  Has anyone here booked this yet?

doubt that there would be a tie in.  The RC ship owners are a different company using the RC name.  They may throw in some points along the way (as they do with apartment rentals through Marriott) but that would be it I think.  No upgrades available on the ship as it is small and everything is basically included

Update from the RC website, so it appears that there is some sort of Bonvoy recognition just announced

I wonder if we would be able to earn Marriott points by cruising? Or better still, cash in points to the cost of the cruise?

I just looked at the ritz Carlton Yachts website and can no longer see the chart linking to Marriott status. Perhaps they have moved it? Or taken it down?

180,000 points for a $1,000 credit is .55 cents per point.  Better than Hilton [average .4 cents in my experience], but nowhere near the 1.0 cents per point I get from cash-back credit cards [which give me 2-5 points per dollar spent in the first place].  I haven't found a travel card that made sense yet...
