A lot depends on cabin location.  We were able to watch recorded programs on our TiVo at home on an iPad while at sea on the Sky TA.

It shouldn’t.
Based on sensor placement throughout the ship it should be the same on all MedallionNet installations.

I was told on the Sky there are just shy of 500 of those sensors onboard.

They do extensive mapping of signal strength.

Believe me I used it all over the Sky.

I guess I would rate it below the CB but above the Sky.
On the Regal if I remember correctly it was disconnecting quite often.
But the Sky it was disconnecting much more.....multiple times a day and very very slow

I guess like many of us, our expectations were set high for the first ship built with Medallion technology even though that may not necessarily make a difference with the Medallion Net.. It just flabbergasts me that the CB is faster and better.

Don't miss the Chat and Coffee with the Capt and CD.  Capt is so funny.  Go to the Piazza  early to get seats in the front.

You are so right on about this. Also the Captains Circle Party, he had us as captive audience for over 30 minutes, the hostess was trying to cut him off after 20 minutes and he just got funnier. We will definitely attend again.

Good morning (0840 local time) from the Sky Princess.  No Sunrise picture today as I just woke up.  We also lost an hour this morning due to time change. Today we are enjoying a leisurely sea day as we head to our next port stop of St. Thomas. Tonight is our first formal night.  Interesting thing about formal night in that I had to pack my suit.  For the last 10 years, I was using cruiselineformalwear bit they recently went belly up.

Last night for dinner, Holli & I dined at Sabatinis.  The food was very good.  Our waiter while very efficient, was not very personable.  Before dinner we attended the PES cocktail hour that was in Take Five.  It was great to meet up with other cruise buddies to talk about the days activities.  After dinner, we briefly browsed the shops before heading back to the cabin due to the fact my right leg started to bother me quite a bit.  For those of you joining the Live From late, I injured my leg at the hotel the day before we boarded.  As far as entertainment goes, the usual band offerings were present.  The show in the Princess Theater was the production show "Five Skies" at 1830/2030.  Througout the day on MUTS there was Cirque du Soleil Delirium, a Sting concert, the NFL Pro Bowl, a Hanz Zimmer Concert, and the movie Ad Astra.

That's all for now as we are headed to Sabatinis for breakfast.  I'll check in later today.

Hope all are well.....😊😊😊

woobstr112G-

Thanks for the live from the sky princess. my mom and her husband are onboard -back to back as well. They are  also on Riviera deck- one of the aft balconies ,that’s about all I know. So say hello to all the redheads that you pass by -that’s my mom. She’s on cruise critic ,but since I’m not onboard with her she doesn’t attend the meet and greets .

My mom is also from California like you.

Great information so far. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Julie

Good evening from the Sky Princess.  Holli & I just returned from dinner with several of our CC cruising buddies.  We ate regular ATD at a table for eight.  We had a great time.  Holli & I both chose items from the Crown Grill add on menu.  She had lobster and I had the rib eye & lobster combo. We both loved our lobster, but I found my rib eye just okay and nothing more.  For my appetizer  I had, for the first time, oysters.  They were baked and quite good.

This was our first formal night so of course we got dressed up. I wore a suit that I had to pack due to the demise of the company I use to order a rental tux from.  I saw a lot of guys in tuxes and suits.  Before dinner, I attended a reception for suite passengers in the Concierge Lounge.  Captain Tuvo attended.  It was really nothing special and I only stayed for about twenty minutes.  After dinner we returned to our cabin because my leg was bothering me and I wanted to get it elevated.

For tomorrow in St. Thomas, Holli and I have a sunset catamaran cruise planned.  I might get off the ship in the morning to take some pictures, but I have yet to decide if I'm actually going to do it.

Tonight's entertainment in the Princess Theater was magician Michael Barron.  On MUTS there were the movies Mama Mia Here We Go Again, Aladdin, and Judy.  There were also the usual musical offerings in the various bars/lounges.

One more thing, after playing another $50.00 on the casino app, I won another nearly $300.  I also played a little in the casino but had no luck.

That's all for now.

Hope all are well.....😊😊😊

He must have had a body double standing in for him this evening. I’ve never attended any function where Captain Tuvo was present and not have it be outstanding! 😉

Bob, please let us know how this excursion is. I'm dying  to try it!

A Princess cruise is not a Princess cruise unless Mamma Mia is playing! Love it!

Good morning from the Sky Princess.  We are getting ready to dock at St. Thomas.  Weather is noticeably more humid than yesterday (sea day from Princess Cays).  Holli & I have a sunset sailing cruise scheduled for later this afternoon.  Not sure what we will do until then.

A couple more observations about the Sky.  Bellini's Bar is now adjacent to the International Cafe.  In it's old spot is a new bar called "Good Spirits."  The internet cafe seems very small compared to other ships.  Interesting thing about the internet; when you open up a google browser page, it defaults to Italian.  The internet manager told me it is due to the fact Google still thinks the ship is at Montefalcone.  He added it could take several more months to resolve.

Well, that's all for now.

Hope all are well.....😊😊😊

That was not an issue on the TA in November...
