Spirit cabins in Deck 4 or 5: Anchor noise?

Recommended Posts

We're planning to sail on Spirit for China and Japan in an oceanview cabin.  Is there significant anchor noise in forward or mid ship cabins on decks 4 or 5?  Which area would be best to avoid anchor noise, or should we upgrade to a cabin on a higher deck for this?

We stayed in a mid-ship OV cabin on deck 5 starboard a few years ago and did not have any issues with anchor noise.  We DID have some odors from the incinerator the last night of our 9-night sailing, and, not being able to to let fresh air in was a problem.

I loved the Spirit, though. The back area with the pool was my absolute favorite place to hang out. Hope you enjoy your cruise!

We were in an OV on the spirit on deck 5 forward a few years ago.  I would never book one of these cabins again.  And, I’m pretty easy going about cabin location.  We had rough seas and boy did you know it!  And, absolutely we could hear the anchor. Have a wonderful trip. The spirit is an amazing ship. We would sail her again in a NY minute.
