Shaw Park Gardens

We were hoping to get a taxi to Shaw Park Gardens and then walk back down the hill.  Does that seem realistic?

Interested to know this as well. Since it's close to the dock is it walkable?

We returned on Saturday from our Western Caribbean cruise. MSC was docked at the inferior port in Ocho Rios- the one that is in the small dirty industrial area that smells bad and is so crowded (can you tell we weren't impressed?)  There was no free shuttle to town so we made our way past the aggressive vendors and con artists.  After spending about one hour in town, we just wanted to get back to the ship. I would not have felt safe leaving the port area. JMHO.  Note to self: don't book a cruise that stops in Jamaica.  I was there once before and it was even worse this time.
