Formal Dining nights.....which night?

Hello.  Will be sailing Anchorage to Vancouver.  Sunday departure, Monday at sea, Tuesday Glacier Bay, Wed-Thur will be at ports and Saturday at sea.

I would like to book speciality dining for one night, but don't want to conflict with their formal nights.  Any idea on when they usually schedule formal nights?  Like, is it always the first full day on the boat, or is it a port day, etc?  Thanks so much!!

HAL doesn't have "formal nights" any more. It's "gala night" now. If you're looking to avoid needing to dress up for dinner, that's gone. The basic requirements aren't formal (or gala) at all.

If you don't want to miss the "gala" menu, then take a look at your schedule. Gala nights are never first or last. Usually a sea day or early departure day. Monday is very likely a gala night. Glacier Bay is sort of a sea day, but it isn't likely that they would do two galas in a row. What are your departure times Wed and Thurs? It's likely that the earlier of the two will be gala.
