September or November

Recommended Posts

I have a cruise booked for September, but now hear that its the rainy season.  Should I try to switch to November or stay with September?

September is definitely rainy season. Cabo doesn't get a lot of rain but it does get some. It's also Pacific Ocean hurricane season as well. If there is a hurricane in the area, there aren't a lot of alternative ports. Cabo is a tender port so heavy swells or wind from a storm will cancel that port. It will be very hot and humid. November is much nicer. We own a timeshare in Cabo and generally avoid Aug/Sept/October. We do actually go to our timeshare in October but during the last week. The weather pattern shifts in November and is quite pleasant then.

It is a similar situation here in Puerto Vallarta.  Sept. is the heart of rainy season and we would suggest changing to a Nov visit...if possible.

Another vote for November.  It will be a bit cooler and less chance to be impacted by a tropical storm.
