shannas Posted February 3, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2020 (edited) We just came back from sailing on the Carnival Horizon and got a Havana Premium Vista Balcony. I loved the extra decoration, huge balcony and of course how peaceful and not busy the Havana pool area was - unlike the lido deck. Lovely loungey area. Do other cruise lines like Royal or Norweigan offer something similar - pay a little extra for a secluded pool and get away from the lido deck crowds? TIA Edited February 3, 2020 by shannas
five. Posted February 3, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2020 Norwegian = The Haven MSC = The Yacht Club. Celebrity = The Retreat Princess = The Sanctuary Cunard = Grills Lounge
Matco Posted February 3, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2020 NCL has the Haven area RCL has their Royal Suite Class, not sure if it has a dedicated pool area like the Haven or Havana areas. Princess has Club Class along with the sanctuary area at the front of select ships. Most every cruise line will have something similar

shannas Posted February 3, 2020 Author #5 Share Posted February 3, 2020 Wow thanks guys so much. This was my first cruise and was very enjoyable I think mostly to being in the Havana area!
Matco Posted February 3, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2020 It is a nice area to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Lido areas, once you stay in any of those areas its hard to not stay in there each cruise

Yes it seems like all the other cruise lines are a LOT more extra $ than Carnival for a secluded area!

On their bigger ships, you get your own restaurant, seating at shows, a butler, full menu for room service no charge, coffee/expresso maker in room and more. Whether or not it is worth it depends on the person but what you get for is much much more

There are ship-within-a-ship areas on select MSC and NCL ships that include small pools, but the price difference vs their "standard" product is huge. Happy cruising! Actually, the Sanctuary on Princess is quite similar and available to any cabin category who wants to pay the daily or full cruise extra fee. Hank
