I found the article, it is true.

Carnival no longer serving Lobster on 5 day or shorter cruises

That's correct. It's still offered on 6+ night cruises. And there isn't really a "charge" for it on the 5 days or less. It just means you can order it from the Steakhouse Selections for an up charge, which you can do on any ship. That isn't the same lobster as the free one.

Good question! I think it is Maine Lobster

not the tropical Spiny Lobster

or  "Langouste" as it's known in Martinique and Guadeloupe

MDR uses Spiney lobster, Steakhouse serves Maine lobster, also equal to 4 MDR lobsters. Maine lobster would be way to expensive for the masses

I guess they would source the Spiny's in Fla?

and/or in the islands as available?

Equal to 4 MDR eh?  I usually order 3.  Guess I'll order 4 next cruise. 😎

Honeybe... there is no reason to yell on the boards via caps in order to try to emphasize your point.

they are pretty tiny in the MDR, like 2 bites

I would also guess about 3.5-4.0 ounces in the MDR versus 14 in the Steakhouse.

With the volume they use, my guess is they come from various areas thru a supplier.  WhileI love the Caribbean, comparatively speaking, lobsters compared to Atlantic are not the reason.

Is it just me, or does that look a little under  cooked? I love lobster,  but i dont like raw lobster...lol

I know theres a fine line between over cooked and under cooked. Maybe it's just the pic doing the meal no justice.
