this morning they had a pricedrop and no charge for all 4 perks (a savings of 600 .00) 1 hr later perks are 550.00 ? why do prices change like that.a 1000.00 swing

Could be because they changed the promotion, or booking are such they can raise the price, could be the price you saw was an error and it was corrected.

 

Last month in a 6 day period I had 2 prices drops on the same cruise totaling $700pp.  The evening I got the 2nd price drop the price was raised to what it was with the 1st price drop.

There IT is known to be beyond terrible. I just tried to price a cruise for May 2021 and once I got to cabin selection it just froze up  Oh well.

Yes... I've seen it often swing within a day.   Sometimes the original promo had a mistake and it was later fixed.

Sorry, I was confused at first but I get it now...big price swing.  Yes, I noticed it too.  I think it's because they switched promotions.  Yesterday it was one thing and today it's something else.  Perhaps you caught it when the computer switched from one to the other?

It was a mistake.  When the promotion changed, the website didn’t update correctly.  I noticed the Price reduction and contacted my celebrity rep.  It seems to happen every time the promo changes

The same thing happened yesterday to me also. On an existing booking, while checking for price drops, the new price for an identical reservation showed a price drop of $560.

the new lower price showed a $0 price cost for an upgraded “4 perks package”.

 

i emailed my agent to see if Celebrity would reprice my existing booking to match the current package showing on the website. While she was on hold, Celebrity apparently realized it was a computer mistake and corrected the issue before she could speak with someone.

 

Even though she was able to provide Celebrity with a screenshot of the lower booking, Celebrity would not honor the request due to the apparent malfunction in the system.

 

I have had this happen previously for another reservation and Celebrity did honor the request that time. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose
