The world Cruise is one booking 128 days so it requires separate policy.

We have, unfortunately, had to use travel medical when DH took very ill on our first night of a 3 week cruise.  We had GeoBlue annual and they handled everything from the time HAL dropped us off in Alesund, Norway until the time we rejoined the cruise in Iceland 11 days later.  We never saw a bill from the hospital for excellent care and extensive use of specialists in a private, isolation room because he had sepsis.  After we returned home, I submitted a bill for ship's doc and local Alesund pharmacy and they paid both.  I also use Chase Safire Reserve for other  nonrefundable things.  Be aware that duration of coverage is 40 days per trip for the annual policy and it is not available in every US state.  We live in CT. Our friends 5 miles away in NY cannot get GeoBlue coverage.  Allianze offers a similar annual policy for medical only but they offer a wider variety of other options as well.  Advice -- always read the fine print..... Planning on a partial of WC in 2024 and will have to do the mix and match also.

Thanks so much for the recommendations for GeoBlue and Allianz.  I will research both of those.

As you say, reading the fine print is very important and any limitations on the length of the journey covered is especially important.

I have previously had a hard time finding insurance for an extended trip and insuring my age. Just found this insurance and insured our 2022 2-month European summer vacation

Thanks ....... I will check them out!
