Not sure what it means but AIS was updated with a 7/1 arrival date in Shanghai - I assume Quantum is getting the run around from the port on when it can dock. I assume she'll need to go somewhere soon as both fuel and supplies are probably dwindling (she's been at sea for 2+ weeks).

I wonder who makes the decision where to send her next, they presumably had some reason to believe that it was a good idea

Like the other ships in Asia, I assumed she was going to Shanghai to drop off Chinese crew - RCI in Miami tells the ship where to go.

Here's an idea - RCI will provide free cruises to medical staff like they did for the first responders in Australia - cruises to nowhere for all Chinese medical staff - how many sailings would that be?

A total of 159 Indonesian migrant workers come through the Benoa Harbor on the Quantum of the Seas ship, Monday (4/5). The ship arrived at around 7:00 a.m. and only lego anchor.

Then, the medical team arrived at around 9:00 a.m. to conduct a medical examination. Daily Chief of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 Dewa Made Indra said, of the 159 people, 120 of whom were Balinese. The rest came from NTB and East Java. "In accordance with the decisions and orders of the national task force, the cruise must be well received in Bali," he said.

It was also tasked with taking swab specimens at migrant workers and continued PCR testing in a lab managed by the Provincial Government of Bali. Swab results are expected to come out in 2 to 3 days given the number of migrant workers tested by PCR.

While waiting for the PCR, all migrant workers are accommodated and lodged at the Inna Kuta Hotel. If it is negative, then the number of workers is returned to their respective regions. Residents outside Bali are also facilitated to go home.

If the results are reactive or positive, it is continued with treatment, either quarantine managed by Bali Provincial Government or in the hospital depends on PMI conditions. "If PMI is positive but the condition is healthy or without symptoms, quarantine. Whereas a positive PMI showed symptoms and was then taken to a referral hospital until it was completely healed, "he explained.

In this way, he guarantees that PMI is handled well so that no one is released from the community so that it does not infect others. "This has become a joint task between the Bali Provincial Government, Kodam IX / Udayana and Korem 163 / Wirasatya, Lanal and other elements," he said. (Maya citta / balipost)

After hanging out in Manila for a while, she sailed to Singapore and yesterday she took off for China (with a quick rendezvous with Radiance which has been at anchor off Singapore for several weeks). She has sailings listed starting mid-July from Tianjin.

Don't know when it changed but checking this morning eta showing Manila again in 2 days

Once she left Hong Kong on 7/12, she headed to Manila. Both her and Spectrum seem to settled in the area for a while, though RCI has not yet cancelled her China sailings past early August.
