Toddler on the Symphony?

What are your thoughts on taking a toddler (3.5 yrs) on the Symphony of the Seas. We would be going with grandparents to help keep her occupied and allow my wife and I some time to see a show, go for a nice dinner etc. Safe? Enough to keep her busy?

Thanks in advance.

If she isn’t happy on this ship - she will never be happy!!

It’s got a great kids splash pad, massive kids club (the kids have their own compass that lists out the activities planned for each session!), a carousel, free ice cream,  and a staff that will dote on her.. what more could you ask for!

There are pools and a really great kids splash pad.  The kids clubs are phenomenal for kids also!  You wouldn't have to worry about her keeping busy, but it's harder as parents with little ones to get to do the things we want.  Our last trip was our first with our son, and we did miss all the shows, and things we normally do on an adult trip, like the casino.  But we still had a great time!  And it would be nice to have a grandparent there.

She will have a lot to keep her busy!  Incidentally, a 3-1/2 year old isn’t a toddler - just mentioning because unless people catch the age in your original comment they are going to give you information for younger kids. She is old enough for Adventure Ocean, if you want to send her. Lots to do for the whole family.

I was about to post the same info.  As a retired teacher of this age group, the little one is a  pre-schooler (whether or not she attends an actual pre-school! :-))

Would anyone say this class of ship was “too large” for a child of that age (3-6yrs)? IE too much walking from one area to another for different activities?

Seriously?  Have you ever seen how much freaking ENERGY children have???

my kids have been on Allure 3 times and Symphony once.  They started on this class at 3 and 5.  In no way are they too large, and if they are then all that running can cause them to pass out early at night and mom & dad can "relax" 😉

lol, seriously though, these Ships are perfect for kids as there is SO MUCH to do, for them.

Currently on Allure with our 27 month old and 6 month old and of course the grandparents. There’s so much to see and do and so many kids the same age that they’re never bored. Between the adventure ocean, water play area, boardwalk, Central Park, and the Royal Promenade there’s lots to keep them occupied. And great memories for the entire family. Try Jamie’s Italian, they’re totally family friendly and will go out of their way to make sure your little one has a great meal and will even make special dishes off menu for the picky eaters (ours isn’t one but they made it clear they’ll make anything).

Did Harmony last year when our daughter was 15 months and same deal.

Already booked Oasis for next year, that’s how good we feel these class of ships are for little ones.

Just watch out for mobility scooters, some (not all) don’t move for anyone and will run you and your little one over or rupture your Achilles.
