Norwegian Sun Balcony vs Mini suite??

We have the opportunity to upgrade from our balcony on deck 8 near aft, to a mini suite, somewhere. LOL.

 

Is it worth $300? (that is what I would bid)

 

The youtube videos make it look like the room is marginally larger. Are there other perks that go with a suite?

From my understanding is that there is no other perks with a Mini Suite. I have heard that the cabin is barely bigger but you have a little bit bigger bathroom with a better shower. We got our mini suite on our next cruise for free because our cruise went down so much in price. I honestly wouldn't pay for it though.

The mini suites on the Sun are the best in the fleet! We were so spoiled by it that we paid for one on the Star and that was disappointing. No other mini suites like it in the fleet. Sun has a walk in closet and separate vanity, a much larger tub. Go for it!

I agree with ValleyVillage.  The Minisuites on the Sun are indeed special.  Well worth the $300 IMHO.

The mini-suites on NCL are more like deluxe balcony cabins. The mini-suites on the Sun do have a walk-in closet and larger bathroom, compared to the same class of cabin on their other ships. They DO NOT have any of the suite perks. It's up to you if you think it s worth an extra $300.

Also take into account the length of your cruise and what you paid for your balcony cabin. You'll be gaining a larger closet, a larger bathroom and a bathtub. Do you think it's worth $300? Only you can answer that question.
