Question on Liberty of the Seas

We are sailing on Liberty of the Seas for the first time in September.  I am hoping to upgrade from a balcony cabin to one with a spacious balcony.  Our preference is to face the ports when in port.  For the western Caribbean sailing to Cozumel, Jamaica and Grand Cayman which side of the ship typically faces the port?  Also, which ports are tenders?  Thanks for any info.

There is no guarantee which side of the ship will be port facing. Grand Cayman is a tender port but in Falmouth and Cozumel, either side of the ship could be port facing. We did that itinerary last December. If I remember correctly, the starboard side was port facing at Falmouth but the port side was port facing at Cozumel but no guarantee that will always be that way.

Cayman is a tender port. There's no way to know for sure which way the ship will face at any port.

"Port side" simply means the left side of the ship.   Ships dock in different directions all the time...depends on their assigned "slip" and if there are lifeboat drills  for the crew while docked. 

There will be sights to see, even if you aren't facing the pier.....you'll be in a harbor with a lot to see!

We we where on Liberty at those same ports. Starboard faced Costa May, port faced Cozumel and while tendered at Grand Cayman starboard faced the shore but as @cb at sea said all that is subject to change due to any number circumstances.
