pierces Posted February 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2020 Pictures taken between Monday, February 24 and Sunday, March 1. Rules: See above That's it. This isn't a contest. All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others! pierces Posted March 1, 2020 Author #7 Share Posted March 1, 2020 (edited) On our last cruise, we were waiting for an elevator and inside of the "0" on the deck 10 sign was a small rubber duck with a message attached. "You're so lucky! You found a ducky!" The message went on to explain that we could keep it or re-hide it but a picture should be taken and posted to the Royal Caribbean Cruising Ducks group on Facebook. Long story short, we ordered a bag of miniature rubber ducks for our granddaughters to hide on our next cruise. This little pay-it-forward bit of fun is one of the reasons we cruise. With very few exceptions, cruisers are jovial, friendly and more than willing to share the joy they find in life with others. The other thing I learned form this happy occurrence was that rubber ducks are very photogenic! Just Ducky! Yes, I did on the Majestic cruise (6th Feb) with fabulous weather. Glad I went that day, took the Bay and River Cruises ferry, very enjoyable. Walked to the timeball tower but didn't get to the botanic gardens. Nice place Williamstown, might go again on a future Melbourne visit. The later stay (overnight) was a bit monsoonal, so did QV markets on day 1 and explored inner city laneways with street art etc. on day 2. Too inclement for botanic exploits ... zackiedawg Posted March 11, 2020 #9 Share Posted March 11, 2020 Spent a lovely, cool 5 day weekend at Disney World - starting Friday, Feb 28th - here are some shots that I finally got around to downloading and sorting: Old Key West resort where I had my villa: Hitchhiking ghosts at the Haunted Mansion: A lovely cold sunset at Disney Springs: A duck cruising through the still, sunset reflected water: The Riviera Resort, reflecting in the lake at sunset: A lovely sunset over the Caribbean Beach Resort, and the Skyliner gondolas:
