Huge fight on Encore

I know it's spring break but it's Encore doing a 7 night (and these pax are older than spring breakers) but I'd still have guessed "huge fight on a cruise" would be a lesser ship sailing shorter duration to be having this sort of fight.  Just shows my bias/assumptions were inappropriate.

all I know is what I saw. I got the video from someone else’s phone when I was there as my video did not work.

 

There were two Instances of fights with the same people. I was at the chandelier casino level. what I saw/heard happen Was there was commotion at the social. I heard one fight breaking out and when I looked over, security had cleared people out of the club and everything seemed fine. Lots of yapping and jawing and then everything was ok.

 

a few minutes later, I was playing casino around the chandelier again. Next thing I know it was complete pandamonium. People were crying for blood and everyone At the casino rushed to the railing to watch What was happening including myself.
 

What I witnessed was nothing short of an all-out melee people were running out of the club like a fire broke out. At least 3 separate brawls...including one lady-on-lady. I saw aT least one girl pushed to the ground in her dress. The other fights you see in the photo are the other brawls. Security spent at least 15 minutes down there trying to keep people apart as we all watched from the staircase and casino.

 

i don’t know the fate of the perpetrators

But I did see at least one roaming about later as if nothing happened. I don’t know anyone will get thrown off at San Juan.

Its sad that people pay a lot of money to go on a cruise, take a week off and can't get along with others and relax

It seems like what happened on the Meraviglia keeps getting confused as a fight. What happened on the Encore is different than what happened on the Meraviglia.

I’m surprised it hasn’t happened more often to be honest on the Caribbean sailings. Inside cabins are affordable for pretty much anyone with a full time job that’s not fast food related and the drink package is given out like candy. Stuff 4,000 people on a ship, someone is bound to not get along.

The news media confused some of these fights and the reporting was so inaccurate.  I believe the one where the man was quickly taken down by men in dark suits was the MSC Meragivilia. Why aren't these clowns put in the brig?  I was on a TA where there was a big fight with a husband and wife and he was put in the brig, she was put in confinement with her room with a security guard stationed at the door, and both were turned over to authorities at the next port. The people shown in this video all seem pretty classless.
