Any hotel recommendation's for San Juan.

Do you want beach, casino, or Old San Juan?

I prefer to stay in a hotel in Old San Juan. A nice but expensive choice is Sheraton Old San Juan. Another place I enjoyed is Hotel Milano - definitely not a five-star hotel, but right in the heart of town and has a popular rooftop restaurant / bar.

Suggest that you ask in the San Juan discussion board.  You will get a lot of replies.

All depends on what you want to do and how much you want to spend.  Many people like the Sheraton Old San Juan.  It's great if you want to be right in OSJ and is an easy walk to shops/restaurants/bars/forts/CVS.  If you're looking for more of a beach hotel, there are several options in the Condado Beach area.  We really enjoy La Concha Resort, but it's a little pricey.  More reasonably priced is the AC Hotel, which gives you privileges at San Juan Marriot Resort (or at least it used to).  Lots of other options.  I've stayed at all 3 of the hotels mentioned and would gladly stay again at any of the 3.

Old San Juan sounds great so I can go shopping.

I appreciate everyone's help.

A b2b on Freedom out of San Juan looks first choice with a b2b out of Miami on an Oasis class ship second choice for January/February  2021.

We got a good rate at the Embassy Suites. It has a casino, two blocks from the beach and you get free breakfast and happy hour.

We liked the Embassy Suites on SR 535 in Kissimmee Orlando so thanks for your suggestion.

This is the Royal Carribean Cruise line forum. I would recommend checking departures board. 🙂

Thank you.

I was looking for a RCI Caribbean port intensive cruise for DH and myself for early 2021 and have started 3 threads for help and everyone has been so helpful with fantastic advice and I now have a lot of information to work on.

Thank you everyone.

Polly.

If you are looking to stay in Old San Juan...I cannot recommend enough the CasaBlanca Hotel. It is a beautiful, locally owned buliding....about 3 blocks to the cruise pier, very centrally located. You can walk anywhere, but taxi stand is down the street as well.

Note that Royal cruises that depart from San Juan do not depart from the San Juan Cruise port in Old San Juan.  They depart from across the water at the Pan American Pier.  I still like staying in OSJ but do not do so because you think the pier is right there.  You will need a fairly short taxi ride to get to the pier.

We have stayed at the caribe Hilton  - maybe it is better now with renovations.

intercontinental - stayed twice was ok

el San Juan - stayed twice once before renovations. nice resort but restaurants now are a little too foodie ish for us

marriott - nice - stayed here twice

doubletree - stayed her for a very short time as flight got us into San Juan because of a delay at 1am

la concha   - stayed her twice and was good

Have stayed at AC. If we cruise from San Juan again I will definitely book there again.

booked on a cruise from Miami in December and have booked AC for our precruise stay.
